Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt

I went to Amazon Books and searched financial information society and found Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt, Automate This: How Algorithms Came to Rule Our World, and Dark Pools: The Rise of the Machine Traders and the Rigging of the U.S. Stock MarketFlash Boys is held in 1581 libraries. It had 29 reviews on Google Books and some of the reviews discussed how the markets have changed significantly, which fits very well into the course and the frameworks we studied. Automate This is held in 645 libraries. It has 30 reviews on Google books and the reviews discussed the roles of algorithms in society such as financial models and the music industry. Dark Pools is held in only 33 libraries. It had some reviews, but there were not that many available on Google books. Automate This did not discuss finance that much and Dark Pools focused heavily on high frequency trading and not necessarily its role in society. I decided with Flash Boys because of how the topic connects to class.
