Infinite Progress: How the Internet and Technology Will End Ignorance, Disease, Poverty, Hunger, and War... Jacob Lorig

When searching on Amazon, I was able to narrow down my selections to three books that have been published in the last two years. The three books are The Second Age: Work, Progress, and Prosperity in a Time of Brilliant Technologies,  Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other, and finally Infinite Progress: How the Internet and Technology Will End Ignorance, Disease, Poverty, Hunger, and War. Each book is over 300 pages, with the longest one being Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other at 384 pages. The most expensive book in hardcover is Infinite Progress: How the Internet and Technology Will End Ignorance, Disease, Poverty, Hunger, and War. Each book got generally excellent reviews on Amazon, but the book that appeared to get the best reviews was Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other. The other two books did not have as many customer reviews, but still looked appealing to me and appeared to relate to our course. After reading reviews on a few different websites and doing more in-depth research as to which book I wanted to read, I decided that Infinite Progress: How the Internet and Technology Will End Ignorance, Disease, Poverty, Hunger, and War was the choice for me. I read reviews about what each book entailed, and it seemed apparent that the book I chose is a topic I am genuinely interested in. I read one review on Goodreads, where the description of the book fit what I typically enjoy in books I read. I look forward to reading Infinite Progress: How the Internet and Technology Will End Ignorance, Disease, Poverty, Hunger, and War.
