I searched three cities, first Madison, WI, then Chicago, IL
and New York, NY. The search results actually showed jobs that are present in
each of the states. New York has slightly
more jobs than Illinois (109 jobs versus 104 jobs). At 17 jobs, Wisconsin has
the lowest number of jobs out of the three cities I chose. Most of the jobs are contract jobs and few are temporary or permanent. jobs. I think the jobs offered are quite good. They span across a wide range of industries, so a lot of people can utilize this site to find the jobs they like. However, most of the time, the Manpower website does not tell you which companies are hiring people those jobs. Sometimes it may be helpful for the job seeker to know the company offering the job, especially if there are multiple similar jobs. The typical required qualifications for computer skills
include high proficiency in Microsoft Office software like Word, Excel, Outlook
and Powerpoint. Some jobs also require experience with a more particular
software such as customer relationship management (CRM) software.
I find that really interesting that Manpower doesn't list the company's name on a lot of their listings. I missed that in my analysis and think that that's actually pretty alarming. I personally would never apply to a job if I didn't know what company I was applying to. I hope they have something on their site that requires businesses to prove their legitimacy before being posted!
